  • Help please 450X

    Hi,

Just replaced the servos on my 450X with Hi Tech HS65MG's went out for a flight this morning and when giving it 85% throttle the heli has no lift? As a beginner I am still flying in normal mode not idle up and I have a throttle curve of 0-40-60-85-85 and a pitch curve of 42-45-50-75-100 on a DX7s any ideas as to what could be wrong?

    Cheers

Did you measure the blade pitch with a pitch guage? You'll want something like -10,0,10 (low, mid, high stick) total in IU, and -3,0,10 in normal.

Does the swash rise evenly with increased left stick?

Not got a pitch gauge at present however put the blades together to measure zero pitch in normal mode, as you said I rather think it is something to do with pitch setup what is the best pitch gauge for flybarless Heli's?

I dont know if there is one specifically for the 450X. On my FBL 450 Pro I use a standard gauge with the Align adapter to hold a FB on top. Not sure how it's done with yours though, but I'm sure someone here can help.
Alternatively, you can use a bevel box or there are apps for iPhone and, I assume, droid, for doing it.
