FBL Gyro in aeroplanes

Has any body experimented with fitting the 3GX or similar gyro system in a model aeroplane.

Would be interested in hearing from anybody as I am thinking of trying it.

Back in the days when Gyros were mechanical, a friend fitted 2 Gryros. One to Elevator and one to the Aileron. But it was NOT allowed for competition.

Do you plane on trying the 3GX just to test, or have you one already.

There are you tube vids with gyros on planes, but they do sell stabilisation systems for just planes from £40. My bros got one of the £40 ones, it only does 2 axis though, no rudder and it goes off light sens. They do a YT-20 I think it is for £80 3 axis, and is for 3D use as well.

Thanks. I already have the 3GX so though I would try it in a plane. Have read about the YT-20 and seems OK. Anybody tried one.

Soon to be me but be a few weeks yet, what I've research is that in full auto mode it does not allow full roll or dive, think it was some thing like 15-20 deg. As soon as you let go flys level and true in all axis. In 3D mode you have full control over the stick inputs, and suppose to hold 3D moves like the knife edge. Let go of the sticks and again levels off, not much YouTube info mind or reviews for that matter, still doing more research on it, but at £80 and it if does what it claims, it's a barging compared to the likes of a helicommand.

Hi,

I am looking into the FY-20A made by Feiyu-tech. Hope to try the 3GX in a plane this week end and will let you know the results. If you have any more info on any of the systems please to hear from you.
