  • 2 weeks off and bad weather

Well into the easter holidays for me now and so far not had any good flying weather its either been windy or rainy. Everytime I check the forecasts it looks like being 10-12mph winds. Is anyone getting any good flying weather in other parts of the country?

Rubbish ever since i've felt brave enough to venture out to the field for the first time the wind has picked up

Just had one pack of hovering out on the patio and the 450 was being blown about like a gnat in a tornado

I managed to keep it in one piece for the 6 minute run though so thats good news

Not here in se - I wish it was only 10 mph though

Based on last year, April is pretty much un-flyable, unless you are a masochist and like to fly in strong winds and temps about 10-11 degrees which feel like 5C thanks to mentioned winds.

I don't , so I am doing all sort of maintenance and sim a lot. March was pretty good though.

Ive got two weeks of as well wohoo.
It's been lovely in east sussex this week bit cloudy this morning but had 15 flights so far this week.
Trying to nail backwards clockwise and inverted backwards anticlockwise it's so damned hard and looks messy. Still in one piece tho

            Wind

With hindsight, the wind may have been a bit gusty for my 450 this afternoon

Well after my rant about the weather its turned into a lovely afternoon managed to get through 8 full packs without any mishaps and even managed my first sustained nose in hover, not ground breaking I know but I'm chuffed to bits about it.

nothing wrong with learning in the wind, you'll need to fight it somewhen anyway if you dont plan to relocate to a tropical country ... its actually good fun when you get used to it and surely practice ...

I'm getting used to flying in the wind, kinda, but when I'm struggling to stand up in it I draw the line at getting the 450 pro up!!

A week of nice weather came back to Kent yesterday looking forward to some flying with me mates this morning. And it was poo, light drizzle all morning, managed 4 flights with the Pro.
700 stayed warm and dry in the car
Spent most of it in the caravan lol if our women could see us they'd think WTF.
