Spektrum from a Blade

This could be a dumb ass question, so apologies................

can the 2.4 radio gear from a blade cx be used again in another heli? or is it purely made for the CX2.?

(I'm from the fixed wing world where all tx & Rx are moved from model to model)

I'm guessing it can because if you look at the 4 in 1 box (Don't know about the new 3 in 1 ) only 2 of the connectors out of a possible 6 are used.

Mind you....the 4 in 1 is exactly that...i.e. it incorporates a gyro etc. and is not HH so you'd need to recognise that this Gyro is very limited in it's response and behaviour..... thinking it through further the little box of tricks then applies it's tail drift and YAW corrections or inputs to the throttle output channels. (It's co-acial so it won't apply changes and inputs to a tail servo but to the motors...)

So in short...you could pull it out....but what would you use it for ?
You'd need to experiment a lot I think to map it's behavior.

The Blade tx is set up as a plank I believe (no seperate pitch channel I guess) as I had to set up a Spektrum DX7 to plane mode to fly a blade.

I'm not sure that the blade tx can be used to fly a heli but have never tried it??

I think the new version blade has a 3in1 with which you can use your own hh gyro
