hi all just purchased a ms pinnacle


This is an all carbon and metal airframe with a Hornet collective rotor head.
It comes fitted with
Webra Lightweight Nano sReceiver

CSM HLG200 light weight gyro
Castle Creations Phoenix10 Speed Controller
and a gws 2amp speed controler for the tail motor
it worked fine today but the tail rotor is now not working but i have noticed a wire (single)which goes to the servo conecter on the gyro does this need to go anywhere? i think i may have pulled it off by accident thanks martyn

This gyro does not have a remote gain, the gain is set with a pot on the gyro itself. Thus there is only the 3 wire lead from the receiver rudder channel to the gyro, and a three wire lead from the gyro to the tail servo (in your case the speed controller for the tail motor). Each of these will have all three wires connected.

The three wires are:
+ power red, that is the middle one.
-ve power , black or brown one side
signal yellow, white or orange on the other side.

Look at the other plugs in the reciever to make sure you reconnect the loose wire the right way round. all the three wire plugs are connected the same way. If its a socket then it has to mate with the pugs so the colours go straight through without crossing.

hi there is only 1 wire from the gyro to tail servo(tail rotor) which i think should go to the speed controler is that right?

The speed controller must have power from somewhere else.
The signal wire (ywellow, white or orange) must go from the gyro to the tail speed controller.
Therre must be a big speed controller fro the main rotor motor (nothing to do with the gyro), and a small speed controller for the tail motor (which is controlled by the gyro).
i have no experience with helis with motors on the tail...
