On Saturday I went up to the field but the wind was just a bit too gusty for a noob like me so the chaps recommended i grounded.....
Yesterday was much calmer (and warmer too which was nice) .... managed to hover out 3 full packs on my FBL 450 BeastX .... was superb ... handled really nicely although i think the BeastX objected to my training gear as it showed a degree of unsettled movement that it didn't on saturday when one of the experienced pilots checked it out without the gear. Guessing it was inducing some additional vibration in the heli not to mention probably relocating the centre of gravity a bit.
Was a great feeling though and was really buzzed .... just wished i had more packs / field charger ... am sorting that situation out soon though with both
Got an indoor fly-in on wednesday ... so will be putting at least another 4 packs through it then ... unless my additional packs arrive in time
