I know there is much debate as to wheather a beginner should be using a governor or not but after much thought and reading whether right or wrong I have gone ahead and bought one.
What I'm unsure of is what sort of head speed is needed for basic flying like circuits, figure 8's etc? and should I be using a lower head speed for take off and hovering (normal mode) then change the flight mode (same pitch curves at the moment) with a slightly higher head speed for the basic flying about?
I have read various post with other peoples head speed setups but almost all are doing more advanced flying so I'm not sure if these setting would suit my level of flying?
I have bought a Curtis Youngblood ATG and am flying a raptor 50 titan with the standard gear ratio 8.5:1, 600mm blades, a OS 50 hyper engine, I also have a align 50 pipe (not yet fitted) and will be using a Spektrum DX7 which seems like it will be easy enough to set up a different head speed for each flight mode.
Any help or advice will be much appreciated.
