                      I just crash.

Reckon that it stops a lot of wasted time. Look at it this way. Hover for 30secs = ££ of fuel and a lot of worry. Or..

Fly your circuits, bring it to where you roughly want it so you don't walk too far & simply crash it.

That way, every crash is about £100, so if you do 10 flights a day that is only £1000 per day. In my view that is cheap flying and no stress.

Also, you really get to know how to repair your heli. Bonus!
                      Happy Landings.

All this enthusiastic auto landing may be a buzz, but landing in normal or IU needs a bit of ability and leaves you in control. Okay I can't do autos, so there !

Brains and thumbs work okay, but not at the same time.

I dont really understand all this.
As a noob, landing seems pretty easy to me - never even thought about it.
Just the opposite of taking off - bring it in, hover steady, slowly reduce left stick till it settles on the ground.
No harder than taking off - surely?
                            Trev
Lots of different things that fly

And happy to have FOUR shiny EGS

I'm glad someone else thought the same as me. I was affraid to say it. I find landing under power easier than an auto as you've got all the time in the world to bring it down. I just now prefer to auto because it's more fun
