  • Ordered a dx6i hope I can work it?!

    Hi peeps
I've gone and done it! Ordered my self a dx6i can't wait to use it!
Hope I can use it! I'm not one for sitting down with a manual as I don't understand them!! :-(
Any set up tips for my honey bee king2 would be awesome!!
I've bought this so when I get the 550 trex I can use this handset and hopefully I'll know how to use it!!

Unless you've put a Spektrum receiver in your King 2 it will not work with it, 2.4 is not like the old FM where any brands would work together each brand tends to have their own communication protocols. I suspect the King 2 has a combined board, if this is the case you can't put a Spektrum receiver in it without some serious modifications.

Yes I have the receiver coming aswell, the king 2 has an fm receiver on there now! So surely I unplug that and fit the new ar9000 receiver?
Yeah I will read the manual but will take me a long time to understand it lol

im exactly the same mate best thing to do is just read loads of info re read it find some more info til you get a rough idear what stuff is and means. Then when u get stuck the manual will help better also if u post were u are from some 1 near by might be willing to show you how it works witch is the best method if like me and your self. i find thing easy if shown then doit myself, i find reading manuels like reading a dictionary

most ifnot all people on this particular forum are very informative and will bend over backwards to help if they can, is a great comunity here.

I found the menus a little awkward to be honest, hate reading manuals but had to look up a couple of bits, but for the money it's ideal, backlight mod could be worthwhile if your into tinkering!

The DX6i is a great set. The manual is a bit chinglishy in places and not as user friendly as it could be, but once you've been thru' it a few times ( and you will !) you'll love it.
                Trex 450 SEV2.
Trex 450 SEV2, hack, freeby, but getting expensive. Binned the bu**er !
                Trex 550 V2. Adrenalin ( brown kind )
mCPX, better than a Phoenix anyday.
                Several planks, gathering dust.

Brains and thumbs work okay, but not at the same time.
