  • what to try next....

    Guys,

I can fly around high or low (within 2-4ft of the ground) and do circuits and there not bad basically fairly smooth, both ways left or right handed. Figure 8's and keep the same level

I can nose hover and land, Side on land and take off.

    Stall Turns,Loop,Rolls and flip backwards.

But whats the next thing to learn or start trying out.

I need a couple of things to try out so what should I look at next???

    Flying backwards? Inverted ? etc...

So what do you guys recomend learning next...

Oh yea I get to try it out on the sim 1st as well now....

Why not practice for the BMFA "B" exam ? Was really useful and improved my flying a lot.

Also agree.... start learning to hover inverted, first nose in which is the most common orientation and also work on the side orientations.

Backwards flight is a good progression and I learned that before flying circuits inverted.

Do you always loop and roll the same way?

i.e. Always loop from your left to your right, or from your right to your left? Always roll left, or always roll right?

Make sure you can do all manouvers in all orientations.

i.e. roll to the left while flying right to left, roll to the right while flying right to left, roll to the right while flying left to right and roll to the left while flying left to right.

Many people become 'handed' in their flying, including myself, so going through all this kind of discipline helps you move on.

Also, stall turn to your left, turning right, stall turn to your right, turning right, stall turn to your left, turning right and stall turn to your left, turning left.

                You get the idea?

my next step would be autos. without a doubt these are great fun and will save you money in the long run

after that either start on the basics of inverted (just like you did right way up) or backwards

slow hovering piros are good too. turn them into hovering piro circuits, 8s etc too.

-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

                            And a DX8 too
