HK 500 TREX clone helicopter ARTF with all servos, motor, ESC

I built this late last year thinking I will have mastered the art of heli flying on my E-flite CP Pro. Wrong, I can still only hover and so I am giving up Helis.
This comes ready for Rx and Tx so will need setting up on your transmitter.
Installed are Hitec HS 82mg servos on CCPM, HS 225mg on tail.
    HK 401 gyro.
Turnigy Typhoon 500 1600kv heli brushless motor.
Turnigy 70A ESC and program card (ESC has not been programmed yet)
This is the all alloy version.
    Glass blades.
    Glass canopy.
All items were purchased new and have never been used in other models.

I have also seen this for £395 is this a good price being it is an Align

    Thanks Again

LOL, no, i'm in Paignton Devon, and with this weather deffo the UK

I am however completely confused as to why you think i'm in the US? nice thought though, LA, beaches, girls in red bikinis..yummy.....ok enough of that line of thinking...

hobbyking ship allover the world, select GBP from the left hand bottom corner to convert to stirling. granted when its a kit then the postage can be hefty and you run the risk of the import duty but it's STILL cheap.

The top one is obviously HK, probably a GT. forget it, for a 500 HK CMT (carbon/metal) NEW with all the bits ready to fly you could do for under £220 easily.

if you have a bigger wallet the Align would be very nice and certainly better than the HK without question.

If not then i couldn't disagree more. IMHO having flown both sizes the 500 is by far the better heli, so much more stable. This is still only my first full season flying RW as I swapped from flying planes at a reasonable standard to heli's mid last season. I have just acquired a trex 600 and will be flying it hopefully within a couple of weeks, just waiting on cells and an ESC.
The full post makes it clear. A bigger heli is easier in that it is more stable, but the extra cost of a crash makes it more difficult due to the stress of the increased costs. Once you get past the initial learning stage it is not so bad. Flying within your ability is easier on bigger helis, but flying close to your ability is more difficult. Bigger helis will handle wind better.

sounds good, the 500 is a nice size bird. and if you break it, fix it - it's all part of the learning curve. above all else enjoy.

thanks for the clarification, that i do agree with other than the stress part, then again maybe iv'e been in the hobby too long and stuffed too many expensive planes in to worry any more so perhaps my attitude to flying isn't typical. I try to chalk everything up to a learning experience however.

            thanks for the input.
