Like you I have tried to learn on a honeybee and although I broke it lots of times, I did get to the stage of hovering a full battery confidently. I then bought an mcpx and struggled for a while but can now hover that easily but when I tried to go back to the honeybee last weekend I just couldn't fly it again and ended up smashing it up, it is now in the conservatory with a smashed canopy and snapped tail boom and that is probably how it will stay as flying the mcpx has shown me how rubbish the bee is, I do think that with the bee you get a lot for your money but it just doesn't work properly.

I'm at a similar stage with my blade cp pro 2, it's taught me a lot but it's a little pig to fly compared to my Gootch 450, the tail holds solid on the 450 where as I'm fighting with the cp all the time, this is probably my fault for spoiling myself with the tail setup on the 450, it's just perfect, which makes the cpp look silly, I don't think theres room for the cpp2 anymore it might have to goDX8

Hi James,
totally +1 on everything that all the guys have said. I too learned to hover on the honey bee,II, I 'flew' it and destroyed it in the back garden till i could hover it. took me months! lol.
Then retired the HB and bought a 450 clone which flew nice straight out of the box and first hover kicked myself cos it was so easy compared to the piece of sh!t HB! i could have saved myself weeks of frustration and many pounds in crappy plastic esky rotorhubs.
oh well. as was said up thread, if you can fly the HB you can pretty much fly anything.
