Flight 4 - Higher and Walking

This was flight 4 - Confident of getting higher now, did not have time to go to the field so did not want to risk it too much in the enclosed space. Have started to walk it all over the place now just to start to get a feel.

Looks like your making some pretty decent progress

Well yes, but flight 5 we nearly had a bin bag moment. Hit the ground on the rear stab which saved the helicopter. Made the tail section go a bit out of alignment, we straightened it and it was fine.

I took it up to about 20ft. Went forward and cacked myself, this was the first time I have panicked. Cut the throttle, it head for the ground, put throttle in just as the last moment then it bounced (tail p1ssed at this time) so the tail was trying to turn to the to the left badly, I was pretty impressed that I actually saved it from that point. I put in a lot of opposite rudder and then landed. Got straight back in the saddle again

nice bit of hovering, getting more confident and a bit higer. (just watched the vid of your 600) tooo expensive to crash (mabe when i grow up.....mick
