As said, throttle hold switch just enables another set of flight parameters ... typically one with a flat and 0% throttle curve to prevent accidents
The pitch curve in 'Throttle hold' can be adjusted in the 6i... normally it'll be linear (straight diagonal line from 0% to 100%) so assuming your pitch curve is like that then level / zero pitch is actually when curve is at 50% .... so in throttle hold put the stick to mid-range and check your blades are straight

When in a 'normal' flight mode your pitch / throttle curves could be anything depending on where you got your settings from .... mine are far from linear since i'm still learning so i have something like 35-45-50-75-100 (can't remember exactly) so that even with full bottom stick its only a degree or two of negative pitch.

While i'm still a beginner myself if you want to go through a setup get someone to go on a skype video call or something to talk you through it .... i wouldn't mind helping out if you need it but i as i said, i'm a beginner myself but i have a setup now which was done by the guys at my local club while checking how i was flying and they made it fairly predictable but lively enough to get me used to good stick inputs .... i can PM you my setup if you like too

First busted part tonight and it's the main shaft!!! How do I fix this and where to get it from that doesn't charge the same amount for delivery??

      Also any advise on parts
I should look to get at the same time... It does not look like anything else is bent or broken and it wasn't a hard crash

I know what you mean.. the postage is more than the part..
you'd be better to make a little list of part that normally break so you've got them in stock when you break them,10 minutes & your back in the air..
        I would order~
        main shaft x2,
        a set of blades,
        main gear,
        feathering spindle,
        pack of links,
and may be a set of skids & tail boom.
This would cover most crashes, fly over grass,, it saves you a lot of £'sss most of the time when you crash on grass you only have to push the main gear up tight.
I would stick to standard stock parts & not all the bling upgrades.
I found the Turnigy 300mah lipo's a good buy (on ebay)

cheers for that WideWake.... I am flying in a sports hall so no soft grass there, not sure i am confident enough in the great outdoors as the wind scares me.

I have already got stock of a 2mm CF rod, CF skids, CF Tail and spare bullet blades. I never thought the main shaft would break first!!!

Any tips/links on how to replace the main shaft once it arrives. Looks like I may put in a big order just to justify the postage costs!
