My supplier no names mentioned hasn't flown one yet but has a demo of the heli, he says it's by far the best at of the box model there's been in a long time.

Enough alloy for strength plus boat loads of extras coming soon after the launch.

For the money after sim training she should be a fine little heli for the price

It looks interesting but the servos they're using I've found to be pretty poor in other micro helis, slop and poor centering, maybe they are an upgraded version.

Actually, I'll have to take that back as they are a digital micro servo which is a good sign

I don't like Century at all so wouldn't touch it with a barge pole at 40 yards but guys in the LHS reckon it is pretty good out of the box. Certainly a lot better than most of the other crap on offer.

Well for me if e-flite put as much into it as they did the little CX2 then that's good enough for me

                  Ditto with the above.

You watch, the RTF helis are getting better all the time regardless of bias attitudes towards them, agreed you get what you pay for, but the new line of RTF helis like the century 450 and the Blade 400 are getting dangerously close to what most of us will ever need.

Even the mini Pred has had an upgrade make over with all alloy parts, there is a huge pile of shit as far as most RTF's go, however a couple of stars are rising from the pit, and give it 12-24 months most of the Trex stuff will be half the price they are now, or even pre built just to survive in an ever increasing competitive market.

I say let the facts and figures do the talking, and leave the helicopter building to the experts who develop them.

I think everyone somewhere has had a bad experience or knows someone who's had bad luck.

Last year we had a £6000 kitchen refit and a £400 Bosh fridge freezer packed up just inside it's warranty, it was replaced with a new one, this also packed up within three weeks, the Bosh guys arrived at my house said I could have a complete refund however there found that a defective part in this series was causing the trouble.

In half an hour it was fixed they slapped a new two year warranty from date of repair and its been as good as gold three months since the event.

Would I recommend Bosh fridge freezers, of course I would there some of the very best.

My point being I always judge things for myself first, as we all have different tastes and views.

My goal is to start off with something like a Blade 400 or Century 450, while I build and save for a Trex 600 system, after seeing Rob's in action I was sold there and then, it may take a year to do, but it'll be an ongoing project while flying a real heli.

I`ve flown a couple of the Century 450`s,
Theyv`e deffinatly spent too much effort on making it blingy, and not enough money on the radio.
                    Tx is pretty nasty
                    Gyro has no heading hold
                    Canopy is........well.........not the prettiest

The E-flight one is coming with a spektrum computer radio,
                    All digital servos
                    and a heading lock gyro

Until I`ve actually had a go with one I can`t really say, but the E-flight one certainly looks a much better package.

                    We all like bling,
but having bling for blings sake?????????
I`d rather have one that feels solid when I fly it.
                    Century one doesn`t really

The reason why i put a link to the century 450 was the price as an introduction model is good and if you hate the hobby then cut your loss but it is one ugly looking thing , all that blue is just too much but as for century ive had a humming bird and it was £230 when i got that and it was tiny , cant cope with as much wind as my labradore farting in the sitting room but all said it got me hooked and now got a 30 and 50 size heli and looking for the next (prob vibe 50 ) when it comes out as for century there not the best in my mind...but you have to start some where..

The E-flight one is going to be the same price as the Century one, as well.
                        £299.99.

I think also the Century model doesn't come with a charger from what I've heard.

And as said before to kit out the 450 with a digital system your looking at another £150 so the price starts getting nearer the £500 mark before your finish.

Which starts getting close to a budget Trex system all in.
