  • T-REX 500 First Flight After Setup

A massive thanks to Gixerman who not only set the Heli up for me, made sure everything was in order and explained in detail what i should and should not be doing, he also explained every step of the way what he was doing to the Heli as well. He even guided me through using the battery charger and made it seem simple

I would, without doubt, recommend him to anyone.

So, after Gixerman had spent about an hour and half going over the Heli with a fine tooth comb, setting up the radio etc, HE finally flew it.

I think me and the lad have a few more hours on the sim to go, then we will try a very low hover.

I don't actually think there was, but I he set it up from scratch mechanically, then made small changes on the radio which has given me piece of mind. Very pleased with what he done. He's a nice guy as well. A Keeper!!!

The audience in the background were certainly very interested in that little demo. LOL. Now you know it works, your turn ?

If that particular Ferret bites me once more he may well end up dropped from a great height from the 500.

Nice! You're a lot closer to a 500 than I would be on my first flight! Haha.

Edit: Didn't clock the bit where you weren't flying it hehe. Bet you can't wait!

Well, stop putting your hand into it's mouth ! Or is it one of the down the trouser ones ? Now that would warrant a short sharp flight in return LOL.

Yeah I cant wait, putting extra mins in on the Sim now. Depending on how cold it is tomorrow we may go for a small hover. Although if it looks as though we cant do it we will abort!!!! I still have no training gear, so might actually hold off till next week.

We have 5 in total. The other 4 are fine. The one you can see, affectionately named "Wagbo" found us. Turned up sniffing around the others, so the wife kept him. She does regret it as he has gone down to the bone with one bite. If it ever got me, it would not live to see the next day, seeing as we feed and water it
