For anyone looking to buy a new Tx these days for heli flying, I wouldn't recommend anything other than a 2.4 ghz system.

While that Tx (and an appropriate JR receiver) will work fine on a heli with Futaba servos and gyros - if you already have the servos and gyro in place, my recommendation to you would be to buy the Spektrum DX7 from somewhere like Inwood Models (£189 for Tx and receiver - no servos included). An uncanny bonus, if you're looking at this particular Tx, is that the DX7 uses the housing of the 2720!

        Mode 2 for heli's.
Throttle/Pitch and rudder on left stick, Aileron and Elevator on the right stick.

You may need to call them and ask - it's been mentioned on this forum a few times before so I would guess it's correct??
        Cheers,

The DX7 is listed on the Inwoods site. Scroll down to the bottom of the home page to the search box, type "DX7" and you'll get 4 results. For some reason I can't post a link straight to the page.???

          Start here though

The 2720 is the JR radio that the DX7 is based on so programming is very similar, I just can't help feeling that this wasn't the time to launch a new synthesised 35mhz radio
