  • Mcpx and Dx8 - beginner mode - how to?

I just picked up an mcpx to use along with my Dx8.

How do i set it to beginner mode so controls aren't as responsive or twitchy using the TX?

    Thanks everyone.

Im sure someone will correct me if i am wrong, but log into the spectrum community, and download the model profile. Then bind. You don't have to set it up and then simply pull the d/r switches towards you! hopefully this helps!

correct but if i remember right there isnt d/r set ( they are set to 100 ) so you will have to set them yourself

ive got mine set to 60 and 30 for expo for my lad and he seems to manage that well i just sued it at 100 and got on with it lol

        Hey

        Here are my settings:

        D/R & EXPO - aile and elev - 70% + 35%
        rudd - 100% INH

Travel adjust - 100% on all of them, 75% on pitch.

If you want the heli to be less responsive go to D/R & EXPO and change the percentage (70% + 35%) to a higher value, you will still have the full responsiveness of the heli, but it will be softer to manoeuvre in the center of the stick .. its hard to explain really

Or you could lower the value of the Travel Adjust, but i'd advise to do the above

I'm sure someone will say it clearer

Go onto the Spectrum web site, register your DX8, go to model presets, download mCPX settings onto your SD card, plug it ito your DX8 and fly.
I have only been flying hels. about three months, had MCPX as my first and found settings as above OK.
          Hope this helps.
