Hi Guys....
Really ****ed off.
Binned my HoneyBee CP-Belt the other day and I didn't think it was that bad....
Cracked a rotor and so I replaced that..... then I looked the head over and noticed a plastic ball link was missing so I sent off for a new one (2 weeks later
) it arrived...replaced that then as I was inspecting it I noticed the tail boom stabiliser rod was split...so *sigh* sent off for thatt and it arrived and I replaced it.
Then i thought that was it.... but several bad things have just been noticed. I plugged the power in (after switching on the TX) and the motor whined like crazy.... two things struck me.... the motor was spinning like mad but nothing was turning, the gyro and servo's were all 'chattering' and 'buzzing' I insttantly unplugged power but throttle and trim were at low/off position. So any idea's why the motor went nuts ? Plus I've now inspected the bloody main cog and can see it's missing teeth and finally I think one of the servo's has stripped it gears and it clicks if I move the arm....whereas on other servo arms they move smoothly.
Is it ******* and for the bin or is it worth saving ?
I reackon I need a new main cog and servo at the least and perhaps I need to understand why the motor span off like that....
Seriously ? bin it ? scrap for parts ? sell for someone to do up ? or buy all the parts and plod on ? I hate the gyro thhat's on it anyway ..... never seems to have heading hold.
