Hi there. What transmitter are you using? The Trex 450 pro would be a much better heli. It is a bit more money but the bits that come with it are higher spec than anything on the Blade. If you want to get a Blade 450 i would wait for the 450x which is a fbl heli

the kit come with a dx6i transmiter. Im not to fussed about 3d flight at the moment just want a heli that can fly well outside. the 450 3d come with everything ready to go out the box for £335. Where as the trex prices in around £475-£515. and i really just cant afford that much at the moment.

Sounds like you have made your mind up then. Still think you should go for the Blade 450x though.

Well after spending the last couple of days of delibiration, and constant advice from here and the local model store, i decided to go with the Blade 450 3d. There where 2 factors that swung it for me. The cheaper initial start up cost and also the slighlty cheaper repair parts cost. Just hoping sunday is gonna be a clear dry day, so i can make a maiden flight.

Looks nice,i had the original blade 400 but that looks way ahead.

Make sure you do a full set up on the heli before take off as mine was listed as 'ready to fly',i can tell you it was more ready to crash straight out the box.
