  • New Pilot - Heavy Rocking After Turn

    Hello,

I'm quite new to helicopters, and was given one for xmas (been flying rc planes for a while now); its a MJX T-38, quite small so I can fly inside and get used to the basic control before going bigger.

Works very well, however I've had a couple of bumps and after the last one, which wasnt big at all, I've noticed a serious problem with the copter - after taking a turn whilst moving forward or backward, the whole thing starts to rock in a clockwise direction.

What I mean is that instead of it rotating on the spot as if turning or the trim not being set correctly the entire body of the copter rotates around a circle whilst facing in the same direction.

Best analagy is think of the moon orbiting the earth - facing the same direction but moving around in circles.

I cant get replacement blades and a stabiliser bar, but however do not want to go out and do this before knowing first - can i fix it myself or is this usual behavior? it seemed fine and very responsive before the bump, however now it is almost unflyable.

    thanks for your help!!!

Check make sure that the head is pushed all the way down into the gear. Seems it isn't rotating centred on the mast.

hi, thanks for the fast response! i had a look at that and it seems to be in pretty solid, do definate movement that i can see; although i noticed that turning left causes the copter to rock anti-clockwise and vice versa for turning right

any help is much appreicated, even after only 2 days im totally hooked on this!

Its a 3 channel heli so you've only got motors to drive the top & bottom rotors & i would think its a motor that's gone faulty
Today's outlook is fine for flying.
