  • New to forum and only been flying for months. Anyone from Torbay out there?

    Hi,
Im new to the forum and I have been learning to fly for about 6 months now. I can fly a MSR and 120 SR easy enough outside.
I can do circuits with my MCPX and Honeybee FP and that's where my current level is. Im still trying to perfect forward flight. Not getting much practice with the winter weather but grabbing all opportunity's and have been flying in the sim.

I have a couple of Trex 250s that I want to fly. I dont want bigger than a 250 really as bigger means I cant safely fly at park due to the increased danger of kids and dogs.

Is there anyone from Torbay here? Would be good to meet up and get someone to double check my setup on my 250's, hint tips flying etc...

    Merry Xmas all.

Welcome to forum. Being able to fly an msr and a sim is good. Flying more than one heli is good too as you learn to adapt. I like 450 trex clones myself as they can handle a bit of wind without getting too expensive to crash. As you crash less you can replace with better quality parts. As you get more experienced you can understand why spending more money is a good idea. You won't find much agreement on what is best, but you will find posts about helis that people like flying.

Welcome spud...250 are fairly tricky to fly tbh and are no safer than a 450 size.Just be aware of dogs and people,RC helis are a magnet in parks, might be a good idea to have someone with you as a spotter
