  • What Sim?

    Hi Guys,
can anyone recommend a good/cheap Sim please?
I know of Phoenix, but its so expensive and my funds are taken up while i save for my Blade 450,any ideas Guys?
    Cheers.

[p.s] I will need one that comes with its own TX]

I think that if you were going to buy a sim, it would have to be Phoenix. It is one of the best. If your budget could stretch to a second hand copy, they go for about £50 or so on here. Keep an eye out and grab yourself a bargin! Only down side is that you need a tx. I am sure a dx5e works great with it, and they are cheap!
    Jr forza 700 - one mean machine!lol
Logo 600sx v2- the big boy
    Trex 550l- crazyness
    Optim 80cp- Just amazing!
All using Neos with Vbar control

The first ever rc heli sim i had was the rc heli master from CML
(RealityCraft RC Heli Master Flight Simulator).

Its cheap at only £20 and it includes its own pc tx, Its a very realistic sim and the helis are beautifully modeled as are the flying sites. It also runs very fast on even some of the old slow computers :-)
I fund its very detailed and the photo realistic flying sites are almost as good as the phoenix ones!!
I managed to learn nose in hovering on this sim and inverted flying and autos, it is defo the bes £20 sim out there, U wont be disappointed wen ya get it!!

Before I got Pheonix I used HeliX (HELI-X - News). It got me through all the basics and I still use it when I am travelling as I can use a play station controller on my mac and not have to bother packing the tx.

I used clearview before Phoenix. You can download a free demo version to try but you will need a tx and an adaptor for the trainer port £5 on eBay. After that got Phoenix on eBay for £45.

Yes its definatly a good sim and will help you when you go out and fly ur 450, I i was u i would pratice loads on the sim before taking the 450 out as it can be very scary flying a 450 for the first time just comftable on the sim first, as it might be wise to get some training skids on the 450 aswell!!

                    Good luck and merry christmas!!

I found the best way to feel comfortable with my 450 was to go out and buy a 500, sounds stupid but once you have a bigger heli the smaller one start to feel a lot smaller. I'd agree with Chris though, definitely put training gear on because the sim does has dime everything is set up correctly on the heli which often isn't the case in real life when you're starting out!
