  • Winter project.

Never having owned a BNIB (apart from Twister3D) I thought for the winter (having watched Ray's Authoratative DVD's) I'd build a 50 for the Spring/Summer.http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/testvb...s/rolleyes.gif

    Which one I ask.

    1) Knight 50 Sport, have all the problems been sorted out.
    2) Hirobo Sceaudu Evo 50, an old faithfull.
    3) Raptor 50 Titan as above.
    4) New kid on the block Align 50, some one wrote "putty" ?

And finally does anyone use Ray's as a setup guide ?

    Cheers

    Knight 50 sport / OS Hyper / 3152 servos / 401-9254
    Great starter

    Then add:
    1) Header tank
    2) Governor
    3) Regulator
    4) Good carbon blades
    As you progress

      I'll champion the Sciddly-Doo.

It's the best flying 50 size heli straight out of the box. Nothing else comes close without a load of upgrades. It's exactly what you need.

All the flight controls are push-pull.

      Love 'em!

Oh, and yes, Ray's book is quality, and for learning, the only blades you need are the glass ones that come with the Sceadu kit.

have to admit 600n is mint! ive only ever flown my raptor 30v2 and was going to move to a 50 titan but after building my son a 600n i do think its a fantastic bit of kit. he hasn't done much sim time, but within three tanks on a buddy lead with raptor50luvver(Chris) hes hovering quite happily so now im also wondering which to go for

Vote for raptor here. Got two one for sports flying and one in a shell had both for over 8 YEARS still going strong and they both can still fly better than me.
I must be in the minority I have ray's book, I found it disappointing so much was out of date and irelevent not worth the money. Just my opinion

                Thankyou all

It's as I thought the Winter project will be either a !

Knight, Sceadu 50, Raptor Titan 50 or Align 600N

Does this mean I have to make up my own mind ?

I just wish there were more heli. flers in this part of the world and then I may see more machines and the pitfalls of some.

                Cheers
