Just to say hello

Hi all.
Just wanted to say hello and looking forward to learn this fantastic hobby.
I been looking at it for the last few years and now at mid 40 said to myself do it or leave it.
So here it goes haha.
Got the ikarus sim last week and keep crashing no end, but thats money saved i suppose but I do manage to hover and land again.
I am getting the raptor 50 v3 next month and will take my time building it up and keep learning on the sim.
I hope my choice of heli is not to "big" but I have been told it's a good one to learn.

Would be nice to find some people or a club in Pembrokeshire so I can go to meets and learn and have fun.

welcome mate, got a rappy myself and is a great machine. Take a look at this site for most upgrades, it's also a good site for information on building/ setup issues.

Hi and welcome. I am the other side of Pembs,. Fishguard. The nearest club to you is at Templeton (not many heli,s). I fly at St.,Davids (also not many helis but closer) with Rappy 30v2. It appears we also share the same taste in Bikes (too old now) had 3 Blackbirds. Happy to help if you need it. Richard

Hi Richard. Yep I love the blackbirds but I also can feel my age on it now haha. Sold my bird and looking for something more comfy, but back to helis. Thanks a lot for your offer and I am certain I will contact you in due before my maiden lift off for. If you could let me know please when and where you lot fly in St.David, I would like to come along and have a look.

Welcome to Rc Helis.

I started on a Raptor 30, now in 50 spec. Great machine to learn on. You'll find there is always a new 'fad' machine, gyro, Tx, fuel etc etc but if you stick to good old basic & proven kit you won't go far wrong.
