the 450's are fairly twitch so you will want it a little more softer it will appear more stable. you servo travel wont change only the amount it moves around the centre will increase or decrease best thing to do is attempt a hover and feel which ways best 20% expo either way wont make it un-flyable you just wont like it.
But as we know for sure that a negative expo will soften the feel there is no need to guess and put in positve expo as you were suggesting earlier.

Hi Dieselcarb, Appreciate your confusion and though there's lots of good advice here I'd personally recommend that you get into a club that has an experienced heli flier who will explain all you need to know, and set up the essentials and test fly it for you. Otherwise you stand a good chance of unnecessary grief my friend.

Trex 450 SEV2, hack, freeby, but getting expensive. Binned the bu**er !
        Trex 550 V2. Adrenalin ( brown kind )
mCPX, better than a Phoenix anyday.

shame, wasn't aware you wernt in a club, its worthwhile joining one....also do you have a sim if not get phoenix and practice practice practice.

if not it will be an expensive learnign curve.

i got pheonix and an mcpx and they well easy to hover cant say i can fly arond like a pro though but i hover my mcpx obove my feet in fron room and out side i fly all round field in the wind. but never 450 in any wind lol. there is defo something wrong with the gyro its slow moving 1 way and holding forget it picking up a good 1 on friday so fingers crossed for next flight but i think that will be new year and in a club i already sent off for a form
