    hi all

been messing around with my old boys 450 today as its was set up for hovering and didnt have the idle up switch programmed

1st time i took it out got it to mid stick and flicked the switch and off went the motor and it was ok to handle its running -9 , 0 ,+9 throttle 90,85,90,85,100

so i took it in and checked everthing over and had 50 fags to calm my nervs down a bit looking over the radio the pitch curve on 0 was different on normal and idle up normal mode was like 77 and idle up is 55 ??? any was took it back out and altered the idle up throttle curve ( 100 all the way across ) got it up and flicked the switch and the thing just hit the deck !! and then i messed up and took it back up as i wasnt happy with the 1st smash into the ground so i thought i would do it again !

so took it in total parts to replace was skid , main gear , and destryed the bearing in the motor

go it back together but i still carnt work out why them settings are so off for 0 pitch .. and i missing something or does that sound right .. as 0 pitch i thought would be the same ????

ive changed the idle up throttle curve back to the 1st one i had set since and it flys sort of ok

i still dont get why 0 pitch is differnt settings between the 2

    What TX mate?

Have you checked mid stick on the bench with the motor unplugged? And made sure at mid stick, you have 0 degrees pitch?

hes useing the tx from my cpx ( twister rc tx with planet 9 rx ) untill i can get him a dx6i yes its 0 deg mid stick on idle up and 0 deg in normal flying but the settings are compleatly different normal is 77 and idle up is 55 but if i check with a pitch gauge they are both 0 deg either way of the switch maybe im just being stupid it just didnt make sence that the same setting ( 0 deg ) would change that much on the radio settings it was a good job i check both sides instead of just putting in 77 on both

its ok ive sorted it now i think i need some glasses lol im used to my dx8 and i was reading the this radio wrong i think its from the buzz of flicking the switch for the 1st time and not destroying the heli

        cheers
