    HAHA you got that right.

at Christmas I bought the honey bee, with no intention of getting back into the hobby, it was just a bit of a laff, here we are 9 months later and I am not the proud owner of 1 Knight 3D(my second) and building a Raptor Titan (my second) a T-rex 450SE V1 and an assortment of planks, picking up another this weekend LOL. I think im hooked again.
    All the best
    Tony.

most of the honey bee king2 are brushed versions. you can get the brushless version from smart-r-c of ebay. i think the belt cp is better though. they are abit bigger and all of them have brushless motors and bigger lipos - get a belt cp

        My 2 pence.
If I had 200 quid and know what I know now I'd buy the CX2.
Why ? Very Simple. It may cost 110 quid (ish) But you are going to go through an inner shaft a couple of times some upper and lower blades, you're going to want some more batteries and you will probably damage the canopy at some point. winter is coming so it's a light outdoor/indoor heli to learn the basics on. I'd also grab a copy of the phoenix sim off eBay and learn to fly that. I (personal opinion here) reackon that when you can hover and fly a circuit with a 450/600 then you are ready to buy a bigger heli. You should save up for a kit 450 (from ebay Hong Kong) while learning the ropes on the phoenix and cx2. By the time you got the money for the 450 you'll be ready for it....by the time you built it and practised on the Phoenix you'll have the cash for the TX and TX and electrical bits.
That's how I would do it if I was starting out and constrained by cash. I am starting out and realised I made some mistakes but they are not really a problem. e.g. Buying the HoneyBee CP Belt.... instead of a 450 right off the bat.... but I'll buy a couple of those as soon as my son and I get the hand of the 600 and Belt CP.

I would disagree very slightly, I would forgo the CX2 I am sceptical as to how much benefit you can get from a contra rotating heli if your end aim is to move on to a bigger and better heli.

If I had that budget with what I have learnt over the last few months I would buy pheonix and a transmitter, preferably a DX7 then learn to hover a proper collective chopper, while practising I would be saving for a 450 or an IC.

The other route would be to buy a second hand 450 which can be full of problems bad build, bad parts etc. but then during practice your going to be damaging parts which are going to soon add up, even at the prices you can get 450 bits.

if you do buy a second hand heli try and get the manual with it that way you can dtrip it all down and build it back up again, Is a good thing to do this any way so when you crash it you know how to fix it i agree with the phenix bit as it is a good sim but its still not the real thing. the contra helis dont fly a thing like the real things they just float around dont get me wrong there a bit of fun but wont really help you to learn to fly a normal heli

              thanks for all the replies.
swigsy thanks im not that keen on a contra they dont appeal to me.so out of all your advice i think it comes down to the bee 2 or the belt.as a member on here has one he might want to sell(bee 2)i think i might go down that road.but thanks again everyone

No Problems and most of all enjoy your self ! as no one on here can tell you what is best its what you enjoy ! one person might not like flying a honey bee and think its a waist of time yet you and others may love flying it its all down to what you enjoy doing

I got a twister 3D and it flys reasonably (i can keep it still just) but the tail drive is shaft and the front spur gear is always getting shreded but its only about £4 for the tail gear kit so on the value side it aint bad... Midland have them with servos, brushless motor and i think a speed controler for £90 all in. just need a reciver battery and gyro. Watch the instructions they are sh1te it says on the box "test flown" my ar5e you need to start from first princables to set it up...

When its set up its not to bad to fly but does benifit from a proper servo on the tail.

Thrown mine on the floor loads (broke the training gear completly) and the heli survived with a small dink in the blade (where it hit one of the training legs and broke it) except for the tail drive gear more than 2 blades of 2 inch grass and its gone....

Forgot a bit... Get a mainshaft when you buy the kit the orignals are made of cheese !

For a little CCPM CP 8.7/10 not a bad effort. And the Belt canopy fits it...
