  • Hallo from Wiltshire

I was flying planes for years before i joined the forces but then i stopped due to being posted in germany
Now i have recently moved back to england and have just bought my self a raptor 30 v2 as heli's are more practical for my needs.
Here is the list of stuff im getting.

Raptor V2 with aluminium tail assembly (addon?)
    TT Pro 39
    Gyro:CSM SL310
After market exhaust with a sticker that say
    Hatori Tuned Excellence (any good?)
JR X2610 with 5 servoes and Rx + usb dongle
    Training undercarrage
ROBBE Power Peak Ultimate automatic charger
TURBEX 2 High Turque Ripmax engine starter
Carbon Fibre Razor Pro Blades (Spare new pack)
    Flight box with pump
The equipment box also includes many screws, tools and other bits and bobs. Also a few other spares including a spare undercarriage.

Basiclly every thing i need to fly all for £400
If anyone can say if this kit is good enough or explane what the extra blades and exhaust are i would be greatfull.
    What do you think

the muffler is fine id put that on the tt one drops in bits,u wont need the blades yet if your just learning,id leave the wood ones on for now.

if you mean is it a good deal? or have you already bought it?
id say you have nearly £100 in the blades and muffler if that helps im not familiar with ya servos etc but someone else will be

are you joining a club etc?

        Hi,
Can't argue really with that price.
Look on ebay to get a quick idea as to prices for RTF raptor 30's.
Join a club if you have never flown heli's before as it is an artform which without proper instruction will cost you a fortune.
The set up on heli's can take many hours of skilled work to create a perfectly stable hei (i.e a lot easier to learn with) its not much fun learning if the thing keeps sliding in all directions.
Also but a sim, a cheap one (FMS) off Ebay (approx £15inc delivery from Yapan) will teach you the basics of heli flight without costing the earth. There are more expensive sims but to be honest for learning the FMS is ideally priced.
A cheap sim £15, one real life crash min £50.
This forum is excellent for the advise given from all users and is very friendly, any questions whilst learing just ask, someone, if not everyone will want to help you get into this great hobby!
        Good Luck

the best thing i bought was phoenix and i was flying circuits and 8s with the raptor after 1 gallon so i recon it was worth the sim in saved fuel alone and i havnt crashed.
id say its well worth the price without risking the model

i wouldnt fire it up untill you find someone to look at it mate or find a club
theres loads of people on here so you shud find a club no problem if there set up wrong they can be dangerous,i got myn of a guy who said its all set up been to a shop etc,it wasnt no where near set up.
not many clubs up north unlucky for me
if ya can stay commited to phoenix its well benificial
iv found my tt39 engine has to run fairly rich at idle to be right at mid range the low end effects mutch nearer 75% of the range altho myn runs fine now.

What fuel do you use in your TT39? Apart from running the engine up i think i will get confident in flying on Phoenix first then get someone else to set it up like you mentioned .
Not many clubs in reach..i will find one though

i think most use magnum fuel on here,i use model technics pro power 10
seems to run nice on that,my local shops dont sell magnum so i suppose its what ya local shops sell
getting the basics down on phoenix is ya best plan

I have been flying at test valley for a few weeks now. Only 5 heli fliers but its friendly. Pm for contact details. I will take a look at the heli for you and get it flying nicely. Some of the gear you have isn't ideal but will work for now.
