  • Batteries for 120sr

    Hi,

Ive just got my 120sr and was wondering what options I have regarding the batteries. I only have one that came with it. Am i best sticking with the eflight ones and get the 4 port charger or is there any other batteries that are better and if so what charger do I need to charge them.

There are a wide range of batteries available for it. My experience of the elite ones is that they are not that great and don't last very long. I imagine if you go on fast lads and go to upgrades there will be a few battery options on there. The cell pro charger will be fine for them. Just look in to what they need to be charged at. Better batteries will really improve how it feels and flies. They will be worth the investment

Did you get your dx6 set up? Did it bind to the heli ok?

Have a look at Hyperion batteries, they cost less than the eflite ones and are vastly superior.

        Fast Lad Performance

Thats a link to the upgrades page for the 120sr. A few choices on there

I would go for the 30c one. More expensive but i imagine it will be good

The stock ones are not great from my experience and they only lasted ~30 charges before a noticeable performance drop. I got ones off eBay from Hong Kong but there are plenty of others around (http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/hype...-p-15303.html)

The stock charger is fine and never had any problems with it using the other makes of batteries for the SR.

          Enjoy!

          Edit:
Was too slow in getting my reply out.. as above recommendations

Yes I got the set up today with the dx6i got it bound and entered the settings i copied off here. Seems to be ok very wobly at the moment but I assume that is me rather than the set up! As you say I did notice the battery life is rubbish so looking to either get more of the same or upgrade my only concern was the stock charger that came with it says to only charge e-flight batteries.
Is it normal to have to apply right aileron on take off as it shoots off to the left if I dont.

            Thanks

The stock charger will work fine for the other batteries discussed here.

It will feel a little more alive than the coaxial you had before and you will need to correct a little at lift off.
