  • Coaxial helis - making them quicker

    Hi,

Have a coaxial heli for my girlfriend, it is a mini twister 4 channel. Basically the same as a blade MCX2. Is there any way of increasing forward speed.. perhaps putting a little weight in the nose?

turn up travel adjust (rate) +100% should make it move quicker, thats if your tx supports this.

    cheers cuppa

I really wouldn't go there, they are designed to be stable and easy to fly - change anything and it wont be. I have a mcx2 set up on a dx6i with dual rates, on the high setting it is quite lively - dont think you can do that with the Twister though.

tie a brick to the front of it and throw it off a cliff
it will be a lot quicker then

some blue tack or a paper clip on its nose should make it slightly quicker in forward flight
over do it and you'll have control issues on the elevator

Ye , agree with Cuppa as thats what i did when i had a century razor CX . but just turn it up in small increments and test fly because the more you increase rate on a coax ,the more chance you will have of blade strike (where upper blades hit lower blades) hth.
