  • Tail wobble - left right wriggle on ground

    Hi all,

I have searched for this topic on the forum and found quite a few others with wobble problems but now I've read them all i'm confused. So I'll try to describe exactly what I've observed my heli doing in order to hopefully resolve the issue.

1.) My heli is a brand new SCEADU 30 and it's never taken off
2.) It has training gear on
3.) It has a GY401 (settings 0 delay, 100% servo limit) with an S9254 servo
    4.) I have a Futaba 9C Tx. GY settings to A80%, A70%, N70%
5.) I took my time assembling the heli as per manufacturers instructions

So as I'm a learner, I thought before going off somewhere to a club I'd make sure my engine runs and I've programmed my Tx correctly for engine cut-off etc etc.

Started the heli, started to rev up, little wobble at very low head speed which I think is normal as this happens to a certain degree in the real thing too, increased throttle to make the heli light on its skids and thats when the tail started to wobble left and right fairly quickly.
I haven't attempted to hover as I'm not convinced this problem will go away if I lift off the ground.

I've observed the tail rotor servo constantly 'twitching'.

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to be descriptive. Hope someone can help!

Sounds like your gain on the gyro is to high, just drop it down 10% to start with
also being ur new to the hobbie lower your end points down to 65%

Wasn't the gyro, it was a broken (but brand new) tail servo.
