Best blades to learn on

Hi,

What would be the best blades to learn on for a T-REX 450 SE v2? The kit comes with a set of carbons but I figure perhaps better to put these aside for a while until the first few crashes are out of the way?

There seem to be options of 315, 325 and 335 blades. Am I right that the longer blades give more stability?

325 pro's red or black ones under a tenner and good for anything but easy on the heli in a crash as there wood

I agree.

I use 325 Pro woodies and they are so smooth!!

My last crash resulted in no damage to the head other than feathering spindle. As mine is the plastic XL version, that is pretty good in my opinion.

agreed, I think that same goes for any size heli while your learning to hover, makes for cheaper repairs all around.

Just stuck a set of the 325 pro blacks on my mini t after trashing the sab's. Fly very smoothly and quiet.

Woodies or V blades - woodies cost very litlte but V blades, although 3 times the price, are very strong and may survive longer than the wooden ones which could make them more cost effective.

I'll go with wood ('coz they hopefully won't chop the rest of the T up too much) and red (for visibility)

To add I think they are a great set of blades as said, v smooth.

I did have a set of the horible yellow plastic ones. They survived the first crash having ripped off most of the head (blade grips etc etc), then did it again when the swash plate came apart.

My last crash was a nose in due to idiot at the sticks and the head survived (minus feathering spindle).

Mind you, the blades did smash the tail gearbox in half

I bought a set of real cheap carbons from somewhere, can't remember and they have been brilliant survived 3 crashes so far. including one head first tore the feathering spindle in half but the blades survived.

but usually I have to say the carbons do tend to wreck themselves.

Think I would prefer the blades broke and as much as possible the rest stays in one piece.

Question on blades for you.... Any recommendations for a HoneyBee BELT CP ? In terms on lengths and makes ???

Also I see a lot of blades on eBay. I bought 5 sets for £5 per set for woodies. Given that's less than half the price of the shops anyone got any opinion on these ?
