I dont know much about these little helis but I just wonder if your using the crystal out the set that came with it then is not going to be a futaba crystal, just thinking maybe thats what is not working, can you get hold of a futaba transmitter crystal on the same channel just to try?

After reading this thread I thought I would have a go too. I have a JR PCM 9XII radio. I got it working quite quickly once I had discoverd that the swash is controlled by channel 1 and 2, throttle channel 3 and rudder channel 4. On my radion throttle is channel 1, so I did have an instance of the medivac jumping into the air at one point.

I used a heli set up, normal swash mode, stick mode 1 to get it to behave like stick mode 2 by moving the throttle channel over to the right. I also had to play around with programmable mixing to get the swash to follow the stick inputs.

Now its running fine on my JR and actually feels a little more responsive. Thanks for firing up my interest to have a go at this.

I'm a novice novice if there is such a thing and I would also like to try and fly my Medevac with my FF7 (old style) but I'm a little unclear as to how you are setting this up?? Do you put a futaba crystal into the Medevac? or do you change the crystal in the tranny to match the Medevac?
Sorry if this is a dumb question

                Guys you are all wizards.

The Key to solving my issue was Sesame words of genius. I was using the crystal from the Bell TX in the Futaba. By changing the TX back to a Futaba crystal and changing the RX in the heli to a Futaba crystal all of a sudden things started to go right.

So just for the record these are my settings:

1 - I have a Futaba crystal in both the 9C TX and the heli
2 - The model in parameters is set to heli SW1
3 - The modul in parameters is set to PPM
                4 - I needed to reverse channel 3 - the throttle

That is all I needed to do

It works great, although it is harder to fly now, just what I expected. I was getting so used to the TX that came with the Bell that I was loosing touch with the 9C. The practice with the 9C will be great for my larger heli.

Thanks to everyone that helped me solve this issue.

                Cheers Dunc
