Everything you need to know about the honeybee fixed pitch V2 can be found here: http://www.myrcguides.com/HBFPV2.html

I used to own one and learned lots from the vids on that site.

    Hope this helps,
    Matt.

Unless you live nr Cheltenham I can't help you there but it really is VERY easy. There's virtually no setup to be done. Just watch the vids and it should explain everything.

You can't really own a heli and be afraid of fixing it as we spend half the time crashing!!! Well you do in the first few months anyway :-)

Lots of guides on the web. Try this for starters although I've not watched this one myself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_NU2ruzyc4. Make sure you use rosin flux core solder and don't use lead free. I'm pretty rubbish too but changing from lead free flux-less solder to leaded solder with a rosin core made it MUCH easier.

            Hope this helps,
            Matt.

Hi, just thought I would offer some encouragement as I am a newbie too. I am certainly not the world's greatest solderer, but have just finished repairing and setting up a Buzz Fly micro and with a little patience. a lot of tweeking and a week later I have it flying quite nicely had to fit a new tail boom and tail motor and solder the damn wires too and these things are like cotton, was initially unsure, but took the plunge as it were and well it wasn't as difficult as I thought! I would stick at it, look through the guides others have posted here and just take your time. It's worth it, as when you get it flying all properly you have double the satisfaction of having overcome the technical challenge as well. From what I read on these forums and elsewhere, it's all part of the hobby, flying, tweeking, flying, crashing, fixing, flying.......and so on. Be interested to know how you get on with the Honey Bee as I have the CP3 (collective pitch version), sitting in the cupboard whilst I get the hang of things with the Buzz Fly. Also consider an Mcx, I picked one up to get the feel of flying, orientation etc. and its both fun and relaxing flying it round the lounge trying to land on various objects. All the best with fixing the Honey Bee and let us know how you get on.

You might want to investigate getting a direct drive tail. It's much more efficient than the stock version and helps so much with tail control. I learned on a HBFP V1 and it's great to teach you how to fly, because you have to fly the tail all the time. The gyro is a 4 in 1 and isn't good at holding. When you then progress to ccpm helis with head-hold gyros, it feels like a breeze....
                    Well, till you lose it!!

Good luck and enjoy the experience.
Oh and yes, I had loads of trouble soldering till I went back to lead solder
