  • Align RCE 600 Govermor Q

Hi ... I am using an Align RCE 600 on my TT X50 build.
On advice here I bough the mounting bracket for the sensor (Thnx for lead) ...

I have to glue the magnets into the fan, do I use araldite ? ... or standard superglue ?

Fan will move at fair rpm so don't want margents coming off.
Some people will always find fault - if you find a typo, consider it put there for you.

Yes, epoxy them in. Some people put a tiny hole through the fan to stop air bubbles forming and also allows the excess epoxy to escape.

Exactly the way to do it. 1.5mm hole right through the back does 2 things - allows excess glue and air to escape so the magnet doesn't just push itself straight back out again under pressure, and gives you a chance of pushing the magnet out in the future if you need to..... like if you fit done of the magnets the wrong way around or something.

The X50 has pre-formed magnet mounting positions with raised edges - I just used these on mine. Many fans don't have this, so when the position is 'up to me', I always put the magnets behind a fan blade rather than in a flat thin part of the fan. Helps even more to get the magnet well attached. I also always fit 2 magnets or a magnet and a balancing plug as described in the governor's instructions to ensure fan balance.
