poss sell my 500 but how much?

im considering selling my trex 500 as its just gathering dust and i'd sooner let someone else enjoy her,

She's top of the range with no expence spared heres a list of parts,


T-Rex 500CF

TT Tail (not belt with static problems)
Kasama Tail blade grips (Very high quality)
Carbon tail push rod for less flex
Futaba S9257 Tail servo (£58 in Fast Lads)
Futaba S9650 Cyclic servo's x3 (£56.99 each in FL)
Spektrum AR7000 Rx
Sparton DS760 Gyro (very very good)
Scorpion HK30-26 1600KV motor (New bearings) (£58.00 in FL)
Align speed controler (Zero problems with it)
Kasama thrust raced main bearing blocks (Very high quality)
T-Rex 600 Flybar (Known mod to make it fly well)
4 x 5s 4200Mah Lipo's. (Revolectrix red label, 2 aprox 85 flights, and 2 aprox 130 flights) These cells are know to last well over 200 cycles. (£146.64 each from Aurorra Ltd.) Always charged on a Cellpro 10s charger.
Canomod canopy. A bit tatty now, as had many flights, so a bit scuffed with a few chips and cracks, but still looks good.

but the question is what price to put on her in todays market?

Ages ago I tried to sell mine on here and nobody bought - but I am so glad nobody did as its my favourite now and loving it even more with the beastX.

I can confirm the longevity of the Revolectrix packs - I've ended up with 8 of them, 6 of them second hand with unknown cycles and all still good enough for me. I had to repair the balance lead on a couple like it looks like you have.

Mines a 1900kv scorpion for 5S. With the 1600 kv I guess you have a bigger pinion - so perhaps this one won't be quite so hard on the main gears like mine is. Plus this setup will also work with 6 cell with a smaller pinion.

In fact im just going out to stick 4 batteries through it as its such a beautiful morning

I generally take what I paid for it, halve it and add a little. Seems to be about right as I have always sold the items quickly. 2nd hand is 2nd hand, makes no odds to me (when looking to buy) how many upgrades it has. To me upgrades are worth little when selling on (same with vehicles).

Thanks guys its about what I was thinking offers around £400 posted as I do have some spares, also I have a dx6i boxed that I could put in with the 500 but is it worth selling this seperately or will I get more if I included it in the heli?,I'll prob put it in the for sale section on here later?....Thnks guysSteve

Glad to hear she is being looked after. My 500 was my favourite model, and I still think I should have kept it.
