  • Removing Servo Connector pins

On my first build, so this may come under heading of idiot Newbuiew Question.

I'll break into into 2 parts for clarity.

My servos all have same 3 pin female connector at end of the leads, is teh correct designation for thes "Female J Connector" i.e this type:

Pololu - Futaba J Connector Pack, Female

Secondly on the beginers section there is a 'How to' guide on fitting braid to servo leads .... which looks very neat.

One thing though which I don't follow, how do you remove the pins from the 3 pin plastic shell in the first place ?
Some people will always find fault - if you find a typo, consider it put there for you.

Get something like a pin or exacto blade, there is a very small plastic tab which holds the pin in place. Use the pin/exacto blade to gently lift it up whilst gently pulling on the lead, it will slide out.

Dont bend it up too much or it will not lock back into position when you replace the lead.

Make sure you remember which way around the cables go back into the connector!

Black at the bottom or brown. Red in the middle. Other lead orange or white at the top. If you check the continiuity of the bottom row it will be there. There is often a little picture on the side of the rx.
