A far better idea would be to get a couple of hundred pound coins and chuck them off the Dartford bridge, Walkera are terrible peices of crap and to be avoided at all costs, would save you a whole heap of grief.

In case there are any who thing they are ok, which there won't be, then read this from another forum http://runryder.com/helicopter/t364993p1/

        Hey Vince,
I know the Walkera 22 looks really tempting but it really isn't worth buying one, however much of a bargain it looks. The build is pretty shoddy and the electronics might work for a little while but they have a reputation for breaking pretty quickly.

If you haven't flown helis before then actually one of the best helis to buy has to be the Blade CX2. I think you would really struggle to find anyone (on this site or elsewhere) who has a bad word to say about this contra-rotating helicopter.

If, however, you would rather go straight into a single rotor helicopter (which many people do) then my best advice would be to buy a simulator first.

I promise that none of us say bad things about walkera out of snobbishness, or anything like that. Just because something is cheap, doesn't necessarily make it bad. It's just that in this case, it actually is!

Have a word with someone at your local hobby shop, ask him what he (or she) recommends and then come back here and we can tell you if we agree or not.

        All the best,
        Daniel

For that budget - simple answer - Blade CX2.

The best training heli there is out there, complete with LiPo and 2.4GHz Spektrum radio.

Plenty of CX2 fliers on here.

          Cheers - Rob

I've got a blade and its great fun, plus cheap to replace parts, and easy to maintain and adjust.

(I don't say this out of years of knowledge, just what I've done in the last few days)

                That alone says it all.

Have you got a SIM? if not buy Phoenix, if you have and are dead set on a cheap, crap micro then something CP from Esky or Twister both crap but not quite as crap as Walkera.

I started when I went in to a model shop and came out with an Esky CP thing, it actually was not that bad quality and with some knowledge I may heve been able to fly it .

Out of the three you mention... Twister CP.

Pipistrelli on here has one, and it/he flies great.

                            Cheers - Rob
