  • Belt CPX EC 135

Thinking off upgrading from my tiny coaxial to a Belt CPX, however I want to get the Fuselage of the EC 135 with navigation lights, can anyone point me in the right direction?

    thanks

    Welcome to the forum Shaun

    So lets get this right,

So far, all you have flown is a tiny coaxial heli, and now you want to make the jump to a cp heli with a scale fuselage. Yes?

If so I would stop right there.

Have you been practising on any kind of simulator?

Only on my PC FSX, have been playing with a friends Model RC Flight sim, the ones where you connect the controller up, I know, I must get one of these? Am I running before I can walk???

I think I really am a big kid, these look amazing, my wife thinks i'm mad, my girls think i'm crazy!

Well your in good company cos were all big kids here

As for running before you can walk, yep that's exactly what your thinking of doing. There is a massive difference between flying a coaxial heli and flying a collective pitch heli. And to make matters worse your choice of heli (The Esky Belt) isn't good either I'm afraid Their a cheap and poorly made machine which will be hard to get to grips with as a novice. To then compound your problems even more, you want to add a scale fuselage to the heli before you've even learnt to fly it If there's one thing you can be certain of, its that you will crash your heli during the learning process, so it doesn't make sense to add an expensive scale fuselage into the repair costs that you will be paying out for.

Best advice before you go looking to buy any sort of cp heli, is to have a good read through some of the forum posts on the subject of beginners helis, and in the mean time get yourself a decent radio like a Spektrum DX6i or DX7 and a proper RC simulator like Phoenix. Do all your early learning on that and then have another think about what heli to get.
