  • MCP-X - how to perform 3d?

Short question.... I've finally learnt to control my MCPx without smashing it to pieces, i can fly full batteries without a crash. I decided to try a loop, and roll. Both failed, i've done 100's on phoenix with this heli, yet in reality (even on a fully charged batt) its impossible. My heli settings are exactly as the manual states on a DX6I. Although i do need to alter the Negative pitch, its DAMN annoying ..... how to? ...

Anyway, thats it, my local model dealer said i need V curve?, surely i have that set up already.....

If anybody could post a perfect 3D spec for a DX6I i would be so thankful.

If anybody could post a perfect 3D spec

just throw it around and play catch with your friends is the best 3d your mCPx is any good at.

Let me narrow this down. Can somebody please post a good setup for performing rolls and loops using the mcpx.

hi jisiku you are trying the hardest move for mcpx mate it will flip to inverted well ,but to do a loop and a roll you have to be right on you cylic stick or it will fall out of the sky ,it just not got enought power for them

not my info but this may help.

Step 1 - Remove the three Cyclic links and wind them out by 720 degress (that is two full turns) anti clockwise.

This will lengthen the distance between the servo and the swashplate, reducing negative pitch and increasing positive pitch..

Step 2 - In your radio..

          Normal Mode

          Throttle curve - 0 40 60 80 100

          Pitch Curve 30 45 70 85 100

          Idle Up

          Throttle curve - 100 100 100 100 100

          Pitch Curve - 0 30 70 85 100

Pitch Servo Travel adjustement 70% and 74%

These settings give me a really nice flying heli that flips, rolls, and flys inverted really well without the risk of over pitching positive or negative and getting tail blow out...

Without wishing to point out the obvious, you are flicking to idle-up (gear switch f.mode on a Dx6i) aren't you?

Yeah, I am. Is that wrong ? I thought idle up was required?. I'm very much fresh to this

                  Guy,where are you mate????

I dont think i have managed a proper loop or roll with mine, the mcpx has its own flight characteristics im afraid, its a good little heli but its no TDR or logo.I have to say it funnels, hurricanes and FFF and even FBF really really well though.

Get a bigger heli like a 450 and try the loops and rolls, its much easier.
