How do you get pullt off Sullivan starter

I have bought a Sullivan HiTork starter and also a mount & batter pack.

Need to remove the aluminum pulley to fit battery frame end plate.

Having removed the rubber cup, and the nut on end of shaft ... how does pulley come off ... is it press fit?, screw fit - if the latter how do you lock the shaft so you can unscrew the pulley.

I could try pulling it off, but rather check first

You will have to take the whole thing apart if its anything like the dynatron i have. i found it easier to do that and take the middle part from the motor (stator coil??) out as thats what the cup is fixed to. not too dificult a job to be honest.

Put it in a vice, lightly gripped but enough to hold the cup.

Spin up the starter, it will unscrew.

OK ... never mind that Q .... held shaft with needle nose pliers. and pulley unscrewed OK .... (Stillsons over lots of padding )
