  • Video, this is what stage im at..

Just thought i would post a little video to show what stage im at,this room is small spare room, area is about 6ft x 6ft im flying in,not ideal..
Seem to be doing ok now, nose in is getting to feel natural and i can correct errors nose in now too.

Cant wait for a calm day outside...

Video is a bit dark, was using camera and lighting is poor..But it works..
Can do more in larger area but im a bit restricted this time of night

Looking good m8 Nose in as well, that's a real achievement in itself, especially in such a tight space.

If you do take the 120SR outside, please make sure its a dead clam day first as they really don't like the wind. If however, you do get an mcpx, you may well be surprised how well those little critters cope with a bit of a breeze. No I don't mean a strong or gusting wind but a reasonably stiff breeze and their fine

        Gaz,

you're doing great - here's some things you should try

It looks like you were flying sitting down, don't - its amazing how much difference you'll find in the field if you get used to standing (same goes for the sim)

Try to see the movements in the heli earlier - almost anticipate its movements and correct with smaller stick movements earlier.

Then try to get more deliberate control - place some markers on the floor and fly between them, start with three markers in a line - fly to the middle marker tail in and hover over it for a few seconds. Then move sideways to the right, hover - then all the way to the marker on the left - hover - then back to the middle.

When you;ve mastered it tail in - start working on side on, nose in , at 45 degrees etc.

Its the basics for your A test later and will really improve your general flying - even if you just do it once a day.

Keep going - well done so far (its not easy is it?)

Cheers again all,as regarding sitting down,i dont usually do that,i always stand up,and i do find it easier standing up,but for the video and to keep out of the way as its a small spare room i sat down.
Hopefully i should have the sim by next week and they i can fly without a care
                Thanks Gaz..

Thanks mate, only a few weeks, did fly a little electric century cp a few years ago when i first got into it,then left the hobby due to reasons beyond my control just at the stage of figure 8's outside.
So after about 4 years got this a few weeks ago, buzzing about all over now, easy to control in the house too.
Yesterday i took it out metal detecting with me,my other hobby,as wanted to try it high up outside while it was calm, wanna put key fob camera on it for aerial video's.
It was fine, looking forward to my next heli now.
                    Cheers Gaz
