i have a turnigy accucel 6 and as far as i know if im charging a 2200mah lipo i should charge at 2.2amps, i now want to charge my little mcpx batts with this charger and using a 6 way adapter to do all of them at once, i assume it will be like charging one 6 cell batt, some of them are 200mah and a couple are 250mah so would i be correct in thinking to charge them all at 0.2amps

There isn't really a correct charge current. It depends on you and the battery. 1C was standard but newer batteries can be charged at up to 5 or even 6C( Hyperion). Tipples 2300mah charge happily at 4.5 amps. The smaller msr batteries are normally charged at 3C. When parallel charging you want to allow a bit for variation in current due to different batteries. It's a good idea to have the volts within about 150mv or you end up getting large charge currents from one to the other. (Cellpro advice) All the batteries will end up charged at the same volts, if the end charge current is small. Aiming for 1C and accepting 2C with 6 cells seems about right. Make sure they are all at the same temperature and are of similar C rating.Flasher 450 Sport. Assan GA250 with 520 tail servo, MKS DS450 cyclic.

You can charge at higher c's but you will shorten the life of your packs even if the pack says you can do it. There is alot to be said for charging your pack at 1c or below. I have charged packs on site at 3c but unless you really need to stick to 1c your packs will have a longer lifeT-Rex 500 ESP FBL, BeastX

Yes...0.2A x 6 is 1.2A....that eqauls 1C.....if you want to charge at 2C then double it to 0.4 x 6 = 2.4 amps which will be max on a 50w charger
I prefer to charge all my lipos at 1C personally.T- rex 600n V-bar

Lots of debatable stuff with lipos. I've got a Tipple that I've charged at 2C and its coming up to two years. Connecting cells up in parallel causes high charge currents for a while but it seems to work. Almost any rule you can think of, somebody will be breaking it and getting away with it. My lipos stopped dieing when I stopped storing them charged. Some manufacturers say its ok for up to a week. Thunder Power claim you can charge in 5mins and give a 2 year guarantee. I don't think lipos are logical. Probably work on magic. Trouble is we are all out of date with any advice as it relates to old lipos. They are getting better though. We'll be bypassing the leccy meter soon...Flasher 450 Sport. Assan GA250 with 520 tail servo, MKS DS450 cyclic.
