  • Hi Folks. New here and to RC Heli's

    Hello all.

My names Ian and im new here, and new to RC heli's.

I done a little research and purchased the Phoenix sim and Spekky DX6i. I also bought a mCPx but i wont be touching that for a little while after getting used to the basics on Phoenix.

Must say, its a good program. Very user friendly. Hopefully I might take the mCPx out of the box for a little fly next week. See how i get on.

So far so good on Phoenix. Thought I would register and say hi as I was lurking and reading the last week or so to figure out what to buy.

Anyways, time to take off again..

    Ian

                      Thanks for the welcomes.

Been on Phoenix for a good few hours now. Been flying the mCPx on there. Have found it quite a bit harder than the MSR for example being CP.

So glad I decided to get it though. Already saved me tons of cash in repairs! Lol

Hi Ian and welcome to the forum from another relative newbie, I think I read somewhere that on phoenix you should change the mCPx to passive flybar as it then behaves more like the real life one. Someone on here will correct me if I'm wrong I'm sure, anyway enjoy

How do I do this? And do you find the mcpx really quiet compared to the others on there?

Yes it is very quiet compared to the others, to change to passive, run phoenix then select mCPx model, then go back to top (under model), and there should be an EDIT listed, click on this then scroll down to flybar, click it and then you have the option to change it to passive, hope this helps.
