best thing with the pitch is to set it up mechanically. get it close like that and only do minor (preferably none) tweeks in the radio.

very few use different pitch curves in different flight modes or weird shaped curves.

what level of flying are you at?

method of tail setup depends entirely on what gyro and tail servo your using.

right... the 3010 was never designed to be used as a tail servo and will not be helping you get it setup nicely.

its worth spending out on a 9254 for it. However im not the biggest fan of CSM gyros they tend to be a little finicky to get setup right. so it might be easier in the long run to sell the 420 and buy a 401/9254 combo for about 150ukp.

With high frequency digital servos now becoming the norm the GY401 has a DS (High pulse rate) switch for maximum response when used with digital servos. A key requirement for todays modern gyros.

Hey with your Futaba EX you even get an extra function setting for it, just cant remember what it is, hehe.

and for the rappy 30 do a boom mount.

bravedave. no need to boom mount the tail servo. the metal wire works great IF you get the pushrod supports in the right place.

the key is to get the front one as close to the joiner on full left as you can, adding an extra support helps a lot too.
