phoenix update?

hi all,
does anyone know if i can update phoenix sim?, i,ve got a 1.02a version, and i want to update to the 3.0v or similar, ive been onto the phoenix website and downloaded the any version to v3 opened and installed but everytime i then open the flight sim as normal its still the old version and if i try to update the downloaded software it wont reconise it?.

if anyone knows if i can do it can they give me a step by step guide of how?

I had a similar problem and just bought the new cd and all works fine now.

You can upgrade from a certain version. I think it's 1.07. It's the one I bought about three years ago. There's a upgrade from any file to download to 3. The dvd is a better bet though. I wanted a cd as I didn't have a dvd drive. I've upgraded since. Phoenix are excellent.

Also phoenix came with a simstick and spectrum rx I worked out rx plugs into simstick, and I guess stick plugs into pc but does the lead plug into simstick as the dongle is attaced in the cable that goes to the rx? Is that right or not?

Yep, RX into simstick, dongle USB into left end of Simstick, Phono of dongle into Simstck, USB lead from right side of Simstick goes to PC.

finally guys i need to bind my dx6i to an ar7000 but havent got the bind plug, i have got a bind plug from another rx but not a specktrum but this doesnt work?, do i need a spektrum bind plug?, if so does anyone have an old one kicking around?
