  • Nothing Moving. Help!

Hi guys i have built a Trex 450 pro 3GX. I'm using a DX8 tx and i am using the 3GX with satalites as the receiver, it's binded ok together but I cant make anything move so i can center the servos and and start setting things up. I have a steady orange light on one of the receivers and i have followed the setup instructions in the 3GX manual but nothing is moving at all. I dont know what i need to do now, is it the tx, or the 3gx all the lights seem to be doing what they are supposed to but i dont know if the tx is sending any signals. Any suggestions would be helpful just keep it simple please as i am a RC heli virgin! Thanks guys

Nothing moving is a good sign.... if things start to move then it starts to fly.... if it starts to fly then panic sets in and you get addicted to making it fly more.... You then start spending ££££ on better equipment to make the flying experience justify the £££ spent on upgrades....

..i know.. this does not help.....

        Hi,
I have been sometimes in such a situation but not with components like yours.
If nothing reacts as expected try the following:
Take all your documentation for tx, esc and so on.
        And start to read.

I'm sure you will find the mistake.

Try a rebinding, as if your using 2 satellite receivers then you should surely have steady Orange lights on both, not just one, make sure all rx connections to the 3gx are good, then rebinding, and see of its any better.

Post a video. Surely you have a new phone at least that can take videos? Makes it easy for people to help if they can actually see what's happening! (or maybe I'm just a photo and video wh0re! )

I couldn't tell you as I don't have one, get in touch with the shop bought it from, and ask them, because both rx light should surely be on aswell, I know an ar6200 rx that takes the satellite rx, will not work if both lights are on steady

Please be aware that on the version 1 of the documentation it told you to connect your servos the wrong way. This is fixed in v1.1 but double check this. The signal should be at the top or the unit. So the black one is at the bottom. (I found this out by looking on YouTube and checking out the videos).

I had this problem where the servos were not moving. It works much better when they are connected the right way.

With regard to the thread title "Nothing moving, help". May I suggest glycerine suppositories and perhaps a little drink of liquid paraffin -- worked for me many years ago. Don't stray too far from the toilet!
