  • cyclic troubles,

    hi all,

ive finished my build now but im having troubles getting the cyclics working the problem is this

i've checked the swash mix and the servos are all running the right way swash is nive and level at rest but when i throttle it up the rear cylic rises alot higher the the front ones as they only seem to be moving about 3mm?

but when i use the right stick up-down left right they are fine plenty of movement,

im using a dx6i is there something im missing cause i cant figure it out because swash is level but its almost like theres not enough trim on the two front cyclics on throttle only?

    any ideas guys/girls

Have you checked the DX6i swash type is 120 (three servo)

Yes that's all been done its strange its like the servos are being restricted somehow? Just out of interest the swashplate is not sitting on top of bearing about 1cm up is that about right?

At full negative collective, the swash should be as low as it can possibly go without getting caught on anything, at full positive collective, the swash should be just under the washout block, it should not hit either

What heli is it?. Diss the links from the servo's and see if the travel is the same. Check there's no 'Mix' set

You have servos at bottom stick, the servos should be at 90 degrees at mid stick, not bottom stick, this means you are not getting the range that's needed

Disconnect your motor, set a pitch curve of 0 50 50 50 100 that way you can have mid stick roughly anywhere, then set servos to 90 degrees, you may have to set links above that and re set up the entire head again

No, this curve is PURELY SET UP, as you need mid stick to set 90 degrees, what servos you got, you got a club close to you?
