    Hi folks

Have a 450 pro clone and am getting to the point of breaking out from the hover. I get her quite far out now without going into a cold sweat, but everything apart from the skids and canopy is black.

I am thinking of putting some flourescent parts on the tail to help me with orientation, but would a bright tailfin or rotors give me the most benefit? (Can't afford both at the mo). I fancy some bright orange tail rotors to match my shiny new canopy, but at 12,000 rpm am I really going to see them?

Would bright flybar paddles help too? I'm looking at the KBDD stuff btw.

    Thanks

    Rob

Would bright tail fins be better than bright colored tail blades? I could do with this help as well

tail fin is the best and the cheapest you could get some florescent spay and spray them yourself
        cheers

One of our members has put florescent tape along the boom, he has green on one side and orange on the other and it stands out well.
If it was me I would go with a florescent fin set, stands out well and it's not going to be as fiddle as trying to put tape along a 450 size boom.

Buy a cheap canopy and spray it floro orange . When you get it off at a distance you will be able to tell front from back which I think is the most important .

              Agree.
Even better, paint one side bright Orange and other bright Yellow.
I used Solar Trim on the canopy instead of painting. Bright colours, different each side.
Can also stick this onto boom and tail fin.

I have painted my canopy a bright yellow...and the tail fin and tail blade are flo orange.

The tail blades just show as an orange circle.

Thanks for great info. Looks like tail fin it is. Will still do tail blades at a later date, purely cos I'm a tart, lol. But if tailfin will give greater benefit then that's first.

Just replaced the dull original blue and white canopy with a nice high contrast orange one, stands out far better

Thanks again. All advice greatly welcomed

I would say the canopy makes the biggest difference.

Where abouts in Bristol do you fly?
